Julia is a registered psychologist specializing in sport and performance, as well as eating disorders and body image concerns. She has worked extensively with high performers and individuals striving for success in sporting, creative, and professional domains. Passionate about supporting the athlete and high-performance community, she is particularly dedicated to addressing eating and body image concerns within these spaces. Julia works across the age groups but primarily with adult clients.
She is trained in a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT, CBT-E), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness-Based approaches. Julia takes a holistic, client-centered, and collaborative approach to therapy, ensuring her work is neuro-affirming and inclusive, recognizing and respecting the diverse ways individuals experience the world.
Julia has extensive experience supporting clients with anxiety, depression, stress, eating disorders, body image concerns, and overall well-being. In sessions she helps individuals develop resilience, manage pressure, and optimize their mindset using evidence-based techniques. Julia is part of the AIS Mental Health Referral Network, providing support to Elite athletes and coaches across the Australian High Performance Sport Landscape
Beyond her clinical work, Julia has delivered presentations in schools on the impact of stress on performance and is a trained Eating Disorders in Sport Facilitator, providing education and training to sporting groups and organizations. She is also certified as a Board-approved supervisor and Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician.
